I’m watching the House Armed Services Committee Hearing with Gen. Petraeus and Amb. Crocker. There were a few anti-war hecklers. They seemed to have the same talking points as Committee Chair Rep. Ike Skelton (D-MO) and ranking member Rep. Tom Lantos (D-CA). Their grandstanding prior to the report was just disgusting. We literally have elected officials that root for failure simply so they can say, “I told you so.”
UPDATE: Codepinkos make a loud appearance. During the recess, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) warned Chairman Skelton about this group, but nothing was done. Chairman Skelton later said disrupters are “intolerable” and all will be prosecuted under DC law. Well, apparently they were tolerable for a little while.
UPDATE: Amb. Crocker says, “This is a sombering assessment, but should not be a disheartening one.”
